STON2
Domain
The Asn-Pro-Phe (NPF) motifs, which are found in proteins involved in the endocytic pathway, mediate the interaction with the EH domain of SYT1, SYT2, EPS15, EPS15R and ITSN1.
Function
Adapter protein involved in endocytic machinery. Involved in the synaptic vesicle recycling. May facilitate clathrin-coated vesicle uncoating.
Post-translational modifications
Phosphorylated in vitro by PKD.
Neddylated; deneddylated via its interaction with the COP9 signalosome (CSN) complex through TOR1A and COPS4.
Ubiquitinated; leading to its degradation.
Sequence Similarities
Belongs to the Stoned B family.
Tissue Specificity
Ubiquitous.
