UBL7
Function
Interferon-stimulated protein that positively regulates RNA virus-triggered innate immune signaling. Mechanistically, promotes 'Lys-27'-linked polyubiquitination of MAVS through TRIM21 leading to enhanced the IFN signaling pathway.
Post-translational modifications
Deubiquitinated by OTUD4 which stabilizes UBL7 expression.
Tissue Specificity
Ubiquitous. Highly expressed in heart, skeletal muscle, testis, thyroid and adrenal gland.
