Perfusion-fixed brains were cut into 50-70 ´m slices using a vibrating microtome. For staining of EphA7 an antigen retrieval procedure was performed. Brain slices were heated for 30 min at 80¯C in sodium citrate at pH of 8,5. After permeabilization for 1 h at room temperature, the brain slices were incubated overnight at room temperature in primary antibody diluted in blocking solution and then washed three times for 15 min using PBS before the secondary antibody 1:500 Cy3-coupled goat anti-rabbit was added for 4 hrs at room temperature.
