Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab27250 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
|WB||Use a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 111 kDa.|
|IHC-P||1/50. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval before commencing with IHC staining protocol.|
FunctionThought to be involved in the organization of the cytomatrix at the nerve terminals active zone (CAZ) which regulates neurotransmitter release. Seems to act together with BSN. May recruit liprin-alpha proteins to the CAZ.
Cellular localizationCytoplasm. Cell junction > synapse. Cell junction > synapse > synaptosome. Cytoplasm > cytoskeleton. In neurons, localized to synapses, and colocalizes with PCLO. Localized to the active zone of presynaptic density.

ab27250 staining ERC2 in Human cerebellum. The paraffin embedded human tissue was incubated with ab27250 (1/50 dilution) for 30 mins at room temperature. Antigen retrieval was performed by heat induction in citrate buffer pH 6. Ab27250 was tested in a tissue microarray (TMA) containing a wide range of normal and cancer tissues as well as a cell microarray consisting of a range of commonly used, well characterised human cell lines.
