I used ERK2 antibody Anti-ERK2 antibody [E460] (ab32081) for western blot.
I found two bands at around 46KD.
What does this mean ?
Does this antibody recognize both ERK1 &2 ?
Could you please let me know ?

I heard back from the lab that the ERK2 antibody is raised against a C-terminal sequence that shares 75% homology with ERK1.
Generally we say that anything with > 85% sequence homology would be expected to cross-react, so this is a bit low. Although we can't totally rule out cross-reactivity with ERK1 since we haven't tested this antibody with a recombinant ERK1 protein.
Do you have a copy of your WB that you could send as a .jpg, .doc or .pdf? I could have the lab take a look and see if there is any additional testing they can do.
I hope this information helps. I look forward to your reply.
