Talks and posters invited for this exciting two day conference
Boston, MA, US
June 25 - 26, 2019
The Immunometabolism field continues to provide fascinating insights into the role of metabolites in controlling immune effector responses in both host defense and inflammation. New information is emerging on how metabolic reprogramming can directly govern cell responses, both in innate and adaptive immunity with new therapeutic possibilities on the horizon. Discussion topics will include:
Metabolic control of inflammation
Regulation of T cells by polyamines
Mitochondrial metabolism and stress responses
Therapeutic targeting of metabolic processes (transplantation and autoimmune diseases)
Metabolic reprogramming in host/pathogen interactions
Janelle Ayres (Salk Institute for Biological Studies, US) Metabolic adaptations in host-microbe interactions
Doreen Cantrell (University of Dundee, UK) Environmental control of T cells
Edward Chouchani (Harvard Medical School / Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, US) Metabolite regulation of adipose tissue function and inflammation
Vishwa Deep Dixit (Yale School of Medicine, US) Immunometabolic regulation of healthspan
Vishva Dixit (Genentech, US) The non-canonical inflammasome
David Finlay (Trinity College Dublin, Ireland) Metabolic regulation of natural killer cell responses
Michael D. Kornberg (Johns Hopkins University, US) GAPDH and aerobic glycolysis as targets in autoimmunity: insights from multiple sclerosis
