RelevanceEXOSC3 is a component of the exosome 3'->5' exoribonuclease complex, a complex that degrades inherently unstable mRNAs containing AU-rich elements (AREs) within their 3' untranslated regions. It is required for the 3'processing of the 7S pre-RNA to the mature 5.8S rRNA. Has a 3'-5' exonuclease activity. [Swiss-Prot]

Detection of EXOSC3 by Western blot of Immunoprecipitate.
Immunoprecipitation of 293T whole cell lysate using ab156683 at 6 µg/mg lysate (1 mg/IP; 20% of IP loaded/lane) followed by detection of EXOSC3 with ab156683 at 1 µg/ml.
The lysate in lane 2 is precipitated with an IgG control antibody.
Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure time of 30 seconds.
