Target

  • Relevance

Factor X is activated by the cleavage of the activation peptide by factor IXa (in the intrisic pathway), or by factor VIIa (in the extrinsic pathway). The activated factor (Xa) then converts prothrombin to thrombin in the presence of factor Va, Ca+2, and phospholipid during blood clotting. Mutations of this gene result in factor X deficiency, a haemorrhagic condition of variable severity.

Customer reviews and Q&As

Answer

Thank you for contacting us.

The immunogen of ab75180 corresponds to the amino acid sequence between 235-488 (Swiss-port No. P00742). This sequence corresponds to the factor Xa chain of coagulation factor X. This ab will not recognize uncleaved (inactive) Factor X; will only recognize active Factor Xa.

The ab89334 immunogen was a full length uncleaved human factor X protein. This antibody will recognize both factor X (heavy and light chain) and factor Xa.
