Applications

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab66399 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
WB Use a concentration of 0.6 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 30 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 32 kDa). Good results were obtained when blocked with 5% non-fat dry milk in 0.05% PBS-T.
IHC-P Use a concentration of 4 - 8 µg/ml.

Target

  • Function

May function as a molecular transmitter linking various signaling pathways to transcriptional regulation. Negatively regulates the transcriptional repressor E4F1 and may function in cell growth.

Expressed in skeletal muscle and heart.
  • Sequence similarities

    Contains 4 LIM zinc-binding domains.
  • Domain

The third LIM zinc-binding mediates interaction with E4F1.

    Answer

    Question

Dear Mr/Mrs: Thanks for your attention. I have ordered two primary antibodies ( Rabbit polyclonal to FHL2.  ab66399 and goat antibody Runx2, ab102712), the illustration shows that it can be used in IHC-P and WB. I wrote this letter to ask whether the primary antibody can be used in IF. I look forword for your early reply. Sincerely yours

    Answer

Thank you for contacting us and for your interest in our products. If you want to use the antibody for immunofluorescence on cell culture samples (ICC-IF, immunocytochemistry), I am sorry to confirm that as far as we are aware, ab66399 and ab102712 have not been tested and guaranteed in ICC-IF. All tested applications are specified on our datasheets, and these are updated as soon as any new information is brought to our attention. I can confirm that both these antibodies are tested in paraffin embedded sections (IHC-P), we can guarantee this application whether a fluorescent or enzymatic conjugate is used. ab102712 has been tested in Frozen sections (IHC-Fr), and again we can guarantee this application for this antibody whether a fluorescent or enzymatic conjugate is used. The other antibody ab66399 has not been tested and guarnateed for this application. We like to encourage all of our customers to submit an Abreview via the online product datasheet, particularly if they are testing in a new application. We always appreciate customer feedback, whether positive or negative, and we make all product information available to researchers. Plus, each Abreview earns Abpoints that can be used for discounts on future purchases or rewards such as Amazon.com gift certificates. To find out more about our Abreview system, please see the following link: https://www.abcam.com/abreviews I hope this information is helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any further advice or information.
