  • Function

    Low affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides, which are powerful neutrophils chemotactic factors. Binding of FMLP to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The activation of LXA4R could result in an anti-inflammatory outcome counteracting the actions of proinflammatory signals such as LTB4 (leukotriene B4).

Thank you for your email.  I've looked into this, and unfortunately ab114357 would not work for blocking ab63023, as the immunogen of the antibody is amino acids 339-351, while the peptide you mentioned (ab114357) corresponds to amino acids 163-205 of FPRL1.  Since the immunogen does not overlap with the peptide sequence, the antibody will not bind to this peptide. Thank you for your inquiry. We haven't tested ab63022 or ab63023 in mouse so we do not know if these antibodies will work in mouse. I've BLASTed the immunogen sequences against mouse and the results are below: Ab63022 was immunized against the 2nd extracelluar domain of FPRL-1. This sequence is only 50% homologous with mouse. Ab63023 was immunized against the C-terminal sequence of FPRL-1. This sequence is only 61% homologous with mouse. We typically say that anything with > 85% sequence homology would be expected to cross-react, therefore the chances are a bit slim with these antibodies. However, we do have a testing discount program which you could participate in to test ab63023 (the one with a greater homology) with mouse. To our knowledge, ab63023 has not been tested in mouse.
