  • General notes

We are constantly working hard to ensure we provide our customers with best in class antibodies. As a result, we are pleased to offer this antibody in a purified format as of 19th February 2018. The following lots is/are still unpurified and still in stock as of 19th February 2018 - GR200980-7, GR200980-9, GR200980-10. Lot numbers other than GR200980-7, GR200980-9, GR200980-10 will be purified. Please note that the dilutions may need to be adjusted accordingly. Purified antibodies have the advantage of being enriched for the fraction of immunoglobulin that specifically reacts with the target antigen and for having a reduction of serum proteins.

Abcam Scientific Support

Question

Hello,

Our lab recently bought the anti-FSTL-1 Antibody (ab71548; order # 1021616). However we got a multiple bands for human, rat and mouse samples at different concentrations of proteins.

We blocked the membraine with 5% milk/TBST, 1:1000 anti-FSTL-1 (ab71548) 4 degree overnight, and 1:5000 anti-rabbit IgG HRP for one hour at room temperature.

I looked up the abcam website and saw another anti-fstl-1 antibody and was wondering if you can exchange ours with this one.

Thank you very much

Answer

Thank you for filling in the questionnaire and for reporting this problem to us. We will use the details you sent about your protocol in order to investigate the source of the problem.

I have looked through your protocol, which looks fine to me. I appreciate the time that has been spent on these experiments and would be pleased to arrange a replacement with an alternative FSTL1 antibody. The link to the list is : https://www.abcam.com/index.html?t=72037&pt=1

I look forward to hearing from you with the reference catalog number of the antibody you would like to receive as replacement.
