The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
|WB||1/5000. Detects a band of approximately 31 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 26 kDa).|
FunctionGalactose-specific lectin which binds IgE. May mediate with the alpha-3, beta-1 integrin the stimulation by CSPG4 of endothelial cells migration. Together with DMBT1, required for terminal differentiation of columnar epithelial cells during early embryogenesis.
Tissue specificityA major expression is found in the colonic epithelium. It is also abundant in the activated macrophages.
Sequence similaritiesContains 1 galectin domain.
Cellular localizationNucleus. Cytoplasmic in adenomas and carcinomas. May be secreted by a non-classical secretory pathway and associate with the cell surface.

This blot was produced using a 4-12% Bis-tris gel under the MES buffer system. The gel was run at 200V for 35 minutes before being transferred onto a Nitrocellulose membrane at 30V for 70 minutes. The membrane was then blocked for an hour using 2% Bovine Serum Albumin before being incubated with ab208719 overnight at 4°C. Antibody binding was visualised using ECL development solution ab133406.
ab208719 has not yet been referenced specifically in any publications.
