Target
-
Function
Component of the sarcoglycan complex, a subcomplex of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex which forms a link between the F-actin cytoskeleton and the extracellular matrix. -
Tissue specificity
Expressed in skeletal and heart muscle. -
Involvement in disease
Defects in SGCG are the cause of limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2C (LGMD2C) [MIM:253700]. LGMD2C is characterized by progressive muscle wasting from early childhood. -
Sequence similarities
Belongs to the sarcoglycan beta/delta/gamma/zeta family. -
Cellular localization
Cell membrane > sarcolemma. Cytoplasm > cytoskeleton. - Information by UniProt

Anti-Rabbit IgG (HRP), specific to the non-reduced form of IgG, was used as secondary antibody at 1/1500 dilution.
Lane 1: Human fetal kidney whole cell lysate 10 µg (Input). Lane 2: ab203113 IP in Human fetal kidney whole cell lysate. Lane 3: Rabbit monoclonal IgG (ab172730) instead of ab203113 in Human fetal kidney whole cell lysate.
Blocking and dilution buffer and concentration: 5% NFDM/TBST.
Exposure time: 3 SecondsBlocking/Dilution buffer 5% NFDM/TBST.
