Applications

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab191347 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
ELISA 1/5000 - 1/25000.
Sandwich ELISA 1/2000 - 1/10000.

ab191347 has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Glucose Oxidase [Aspergillus niger] in a standard sandwich ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Sheep IgG [H&L] (Rabbit) and (ABTS (2,2’-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.

WB 1/500 - 1/3000. Predicted molecular weight: 66 kDa.
Immunoelectrophoresis Use at an assay dependent concentration.

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Sheep Serum as well as purified and partially purified Glucose Oxidase [Aspergillus niger].

Target

  • Relevance
Glucose Oxidase is widely used for the determination of glucose in body fluids and in removing residual glucose or oxygen from foods and beverages. Glucose Oxidase producing moulds such as Aspergillus and Penicillium species are used for the biological production of gluconic acid. CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: Beta D glucose + O2 = D glucono 1,5 lactone + H2O2.
  • Cellular localization
    Secreted
  • Alternative names
    • Beta D Glucose Oxygen 1 Oxido Reductase antibody
    • Glucose oxidase (Precursor) antibody
    • Glucose Oxyhydrase antibody
    • GOD antibody
