Customer Question: how many peroxidases iare there on the antibody fragment? is it on the antigen binding site or on other sites? does it interfere with antigen binding?

Thank you for your enquiry. The originator of this antibody conjugated at a 2:1 ratio. There could be 1 or 2 peroxidase per antibody molecule. Peroxidase molecule randomly bind to Lysines of the antibody. If there are lysines at the antigen binding site, the enzyme could block it sometimes. That is why the titer of an antibody usually drops a little bit after conjugation. But it doesn't meant that the antibody is being affected.
