    Answer

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I am sorry to hear you have had difficulty obtaining satisfactory results from these two secondary antibodies.

I appreciate the time you have spent in the laboratory and understand your concerns. It is regrettable the results have not been succesful.

I would like to reassure you that these antibodies are both tested and covered by our guarantee for ICC-IF. Before deciding how to proceed, I would like to investigate this particular case further for you, and also obtain some further information for our quality records.

In order to do this, I have enclosed a questionnaire below. I would appreciate if you could complete this. It will help you put the information we require together very easily.

    Question
    Answer

When antibody is anti-IgG (H+L) then it will react with other immunoglobulin classes (IgM, IgA, IgD, IgE) and subclasses since they all share the same light chains (either kappa or lambda). When antibody is Anti-IgG, F(ab')2 - not specific for IgG- they react with light chains, and therefore also react with other immunoglobulin classes (IgA, IgM, IgD, and IgE) and subclasses sharing the same light chains. Other options anti-IgM compatible secondaries besides ab8517 for Flow Cytometry are: ab6785 Goat polyclonal to Mouse IgG - H&L (FITC) ab60313 Goat polyclonal to Mouse IgG (Chromeo™ 488) ab60316 Goat polyclonal to Mouse IgG - H&L (Chromeo™ 546) ab60318 Goat polyclonal to Mouse IgG (Chromeo™ 642) ab6563 and ab7002 are other options. Please bear in mind that the affinity might be lower for IgG H&L antibodies against IgM, therefore the safest would be to use a secondary against IgM.
