Properties

Applications

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab51948 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
Sandwich ELISA Use a concentration of 5 - 10 µg/ml.
WB Use a concentration of 0.3 - 1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 20 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 21 kDa). An additional band of unknown identity was also consistently observed at 40kDa. This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunising peptide.
ELISA 1/32000.

Target

Images

  • All lanes : Anti-GPx-7 antibody (ab51948) at 0.3 µg/ml

Lane 1 : Human Prostate lysate (in RIPA buffer)
Lane 2 : Human Prostate lysate (in RIPA buffer) with immunising peptide

Lysates/proteins at 35 µg per lane.

    Predicted band size: 21 kDa
    Observed band size: 20 kDa
why is the actual band size different from the predicted?
Additional bands at: 40 kDa. We are unsure as to the identity of these extra bands.

  • Sandwich-type ELISA with increasing amount of recombinant GPX7 captured by a rabbit antibody. ab51948 used as reporter at 5ug/ml.
