FunctionThis enzyme is necessary for target cell lysis in cell-mediated immune responses. It cleaves after Lys or Arg. Cleaves APEX1 after 'Lys-31' and destroys its oxidative repair activity. Involved in apoptosis.

ab10870 staining Granzyme A in human heart tissue sections by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P - paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue was fixed with formalin and blocked with 10% serum for 30 minutes at 24°C; antigen retrieval was by heat mediation in a citrate buffer. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/50 in horse serum) for 16 hours at 4°C. A Biotin-conjugated horse anti-mouse IgG polyclonal (1/375) was used as the secondary antibody.
