    Defects in HADHB are a cause of trifunctional protein deficiency (TFP deficiency) [MIM:609015]. The clinical manifestations are very variable and include hypoglycemia, cardiomyopathy and sudden death. Phenotypes with mainly hepatic and neuromyopathic involvement can also be distinguished. Biochemically, TFP deficiency is defined by the loss of all three enzyme activities of the TFP complex.

  • HADHB was immunoprecipitated from HEK-293T  (human epithelial cell line from embryonic kidney transformed with large T antigen) whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) with ab240601 at 6 µg/reaction. Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using ab240601 at 0.4 µg/ml.

    Lane 2: Control IgG IP in HEK-293T whole cell lysate.

    Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure time of 10 seconds.
