I would like to know the different between anti HCV core antibodies product code ab20404 and ab50288. thank you in advanced

Answer

Thank you for contacting us. ab20404 and ab50288 are both goat polyclonals antibodies against Hepatitis C Virus Core 1a. They have both been used with Western blotting and ELISA, and ab50288 has been used with IHC. Whilst ab20404 is at a concentration of 4.0 mg/ml and has been purified by Sodium sulfate precipitation and ion-exchange chromatography, ab50288 is provided at a concentration of 5.0 mg/ml and has been purified by protein A affinity purification. These antibodies are very similar. We sometimes stock similar items to ensure that if one of the antibodies becomes unavailable we have an alternative available to offer to our customers. Depending on your application both ab20404 and ab50288 should be applicable. I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.
