Question

I am looking for antibodies that detect the core histone proteins in western blots. However, I need an antibody that does not detect the tail regions of the histones. I am looking at several of your H2A antibodies and would like to know which would suit my needs the best. I need an antibody that can detect H2A between positions 20 and 113 but not outside of that region. The antibodies that I have looked at were ab13923, ab15653, and ab88770. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for contacting Abcam regarding this issue. I have had a chance to look at each of the antibodies to Histone H2A in our catalog and compare the immunogen sequences with your specific needs. Unfortunately none of these products fall exclusively within the range that you have specified.  Each recognizes sites on the tails I hope this information is helpful.
