Function
Pre-mRNA binding protein in vivo, binds avidly to poly(G) and poly(U) RNA homopolymers in vitro. Involved in splicing. Acts as a receptor for carcinoembryonic antigen in Kupffer cells, may initiate a series of signaling events leading to tyrosine phosphorylation of proteins and induction of IL-1 alpha, IL-6, IL-10 and tumor necrosis factor alpha cytokines. -

Immunoprecipitation/ Western Blot of hnRNP M3-M4. Detection of hnRNP M3-M4 in Immunoprecipitates of 293T whole cell lysates (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) using ab157100 at 6 µg/mg lysate for IP (Lane 1). For WB detection an ab157100 was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Lane 2 represents control IgG IP. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.
