I would like to use HODE antibody (ab28204）. I read product datasheet of ab28204 and I recognized that this antibody have reactivity against 9(±)-HODE, 9(S)-HODE,9(R)-HODE. However, there is two form of 9-HODE, 9-hydroxy-10(E),12(Z)-octadecadienoic acid (9(E,Z)-HODE) and 9-hydroxy-10(E),12(E)-octadecadienoic acid (9(E,E)-HODE). I have a question about this antibody. Which form of 9-HODE is reacted by this antibody.

Thank you for your enquiry and I sincerely apologize for the delay in responding. I have contacted the originator of the product and they have tracked down the researcher who developed this assay. Unfortunately, I am not able to access the original paper that describe the 9-HODE from my end. However, I hope the information in the publication will provide the answers you are looking for. Here is a link to the original citations by Bull AW: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?db=pubmed&cmd=DetailsSearch&term=bull+9-hode If there is anything else that I can assist you with, please do not hesitate to contact me. Have a nice day!
