I'm going to detect 9-HODE and 13-HODE in human and mouse samples with western blot. I try to find the primary anti-HODE antibody, but the product of your company (ab28204) only shows the application on ELISA and RIA. May I use it in Western blot? Thank you,

Thank you for contacting us with your question. We would not recommend detecting secreted HODE in Western blot, as HODE is a very small chemical molecule and will not run properly in SDS-PAGE. ELISA will be a much more suitable assay to analyze and quantify this molecule. Ab28204 specifically reacts with 9-HODE while ab15158 reacts more specifically with S13-HODE. I hope this information will be useful, but please let me know if you have further questions and I will be happy to help.
