    Target

    • Relevance

The H-H-H-H-H-H motif is used as a tag on many recombinant proteins to facilitate purification. The antibody recognizes the His-tag fused to the amino- or carboxy- termini of targeted proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
    • Cellular localization

Depends upon the localization of the parent protein tagged with hexahistidine.

    Answer

For staining western blots with this conjugate, we recommend a starting concentration of 0.2-0.5 ug/ml (1:500- 1:200 of a 0.1 mg/ml stock) for detection of his-tagged proteins on a western blot. However, as with every conjugate product such as this, we also recommend determining the best working concentration by experimental titration to account for differences in buffers, wash procedures, substrates, etc.
