Function
Cytokine (PubMed:8096327, PubMed:8097324). Inhibits inflammatory cytokine production (PubMed:8096327). Synergizes with IL2 in regulating interferon-gamma synthesis (PubMed:8096327). May be critical in regulating inflammatory and immune responses (PubMed:8096327, PubMed:8097324). Positively regulates IL31RA expression in macrophages. -
Involvement in disease
Allergic rhinitis -
Sequence similarities
Belongs to the IL-4/IL-13 family. -

HRP Anti-IL-13 antibody [EP3266] (ab201470) at 1/5000 dilution + Human IL-13 Recombinant Protein at 0.1 µg
Developed using the ECL technique.
Performed under reducing conditions.
Predicted band size: 13 kDa
Observed band size: 13 kDa
Exposure time: 2 secondsThis blot was produced using a 4-12% Bis-tris gel under the MES buffer system. The gel was run at 200V for 35 minutes before being transferred onto a Nitrocellulose membrane at 30V for 70 minutes. The membrane was then blocked for an hour using 2% Bovine Serum Albumin before being incubated with ab201470 overnight at 4°C. Antibody binding was visualised using ECL development solution ab133406.
