Application | Abreviews | Notes |
---|---|---|
WB | 1/500 - 1/3000. Predicted molecular weight: 70 kDa. | |
IHC-P | 1/100 - 1/1000. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6 before commencing with IHC staining protocol. Antigen retrieval also possible using Tris-EDTA buffer (pH8.0). | |
ICC/IF | 1/100 - 1/1000. |
Target
-
FunctionIn cooperation with other chaperones, Hsp70s stabilize preexistent proteins against aggregation and mediate the folding of newly translated polypeptides in the cytosol as well as within organelles. These chaperones participate in all these processes through their ability to recognize nonnative conformations of other proteins. They bind extended peptide segments with a net hydrophobic character exposed by polypeptides during translation and membrane translocation, or following stress-induced damage.
-
Tissue specificityExpressed in spermatids.
-
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the heat shock protein 70 family.
