  • Product overview

Abcam’s Apolipoprotein B (APOB) Human in vitro ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Apolipoprotein B concentrations in Human plasma, serum, CSF and cell culture samples.

An Apolipoprotein B specific antibody has been precoated onto 96-well plates and blocked. Standards or test samples are added to the wells and subsequently an Apolipoprotein B specific biotinylated detection antibody is added and then followed by washing with wash buffer. Streptavidin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. TMB is then used to visualize Streptavidin-Peroxidase enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by Streptavidin-Peroxidase to produce a blue color product that changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration is directly proportional to the amount of Apolipoprotein B captured in plate.

Me temo que el kit ab108807 no puede distinguir entre las isoformas Apo B48 y Apo B100.

The plate is Corning Costar® 2592. It should fit into most plate washers. The wash buffer contains 0.1% Tween -20.

Q1: Will this kit detect mouse ApoB?
A1: No.

Q2: Is it known whether this kit will detect ApoB48 or ApoB100? Or both?
A2: It has not been determined if this kit will specifically detect ApoB48 or ApoB100.

Thank you for your inquiry and I apologize for the delay in this reply.

The lyophilized powder standard is supplied at 0.75 ug. Reconstitute the 0.75 ug of Apo B Standard with 3 ml of EIA Diluent to generate a solution of 0.25 ug/ml. Any left...

Hello. The cross reactivity was deternmined by purified protein and plasma samples combination. It is not by single determinants. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I believe this kit includes 0.75ug of standard. Based on the protocol, this provides you 3 mls of 0.25ug/ml of the highest concentration of standard. This starting concentration is subsequently diluted in 2x serial dilutions to produce the cu...
