  • Product overview

Abcam’s Follicle Stimulating Hormone in vitroELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is designed for the accurate quantitative measurement of Follicle Stimulating Hormone in Human serum.

A 96-well plate has been precoated with anti-Follicle Stimulating Hormone antibodies. Samples and standards and are added to the wells, where Follicle Stimulating Hormone in the sample and standards binds to the precoated antibody. After incubation and washing, added Anti-Follicle Stimulating Hormone HRP conjugate binds to the antibody-Follicle Stimulating Hormone complex. After incubation, the wells are washed to remove unbound material and TMB substrate is then added which is catalyzed by HRP to produce blue coloration. The reaction is terminated by addition of Stop Solution which stops the color development and produces a color change from blue to yellow. The intensity of signal is directly proportional to the amount of Follicle Stimulating Hormone in the sample and the intensity is measured at 450 nm.

I have been informed by the lab that while these are specific to human FSH, the mouse serum may cause some background. We recommend optimizing the tests by running a serial dilution of the mouse serum to determine which dilution factor gives the least background.

Thank you for contacting us and your interest in our products.

TheFollicle Stimulating Hormone Human ELISA Kit (ab108641) uses and anti-alpha-FSH monoclonal antibody for the capture and an anti-beta-FSH monoclonal antibody for the detection. TheFSH kit therefore detects the whole FSH molecule, not the free monomers.

I hope this informationhas beenhelpful. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Thank you very much for your inquiry.

We do have no ELISA kit against LH, FSH or Progesterone which are tested against the rat proteins. We do have however such kits tested against the human protein, for which we have however not yet tested whether they can work with the rat protein.

I am inquiring with the laboratory whether we have any anti rat ELISA kits for these proteins which we could put in ourcatalogue and I will get back to you as soon as I know more.

Thank you for your patience. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
