    Abcam’s IL-29 Human ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human IL-29 in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants.


    This assay employs an antibody specific for Human IL-29 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and IL-29 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Human IL-29 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IL-29 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

    Capture antibody: 100% cross­reactivity with recombinant human (rh) IL­28B/IFN­λ3 and 20% with rhIL­28A. No cross­reactivity was observed with rhIFN­αA, rhIFN­αB2, rhIFN­αG, rhIFN­αI, or rhIFN­β1A.



    Detection antibody: Approximately 100% cross­reactivity with recombinant human (rh) IL­28B is observed, 35% cross­reactivity with rhIL­28A is observed and less than 0.2% cross­reactivity with rhIFN­αA, rhIFN­αB2, rhIFN­αG, rhIFN αI, and rhIFN­β1A is observed. In Western blots, approximately 25% cross­reactivity with rhIL­28A and rhIL­28B is observed.

    The interleukins are pretty well-conserved among primates.
