Thanks for your response. However, none of the kit contents listed in the protocol is biotinylated kininogen. The label on the vial in the kit, the Introduction on p.2, the "Kit Contents" on p.4 of the manual, and the Reagent Preparation step 4 Title on p.7 of the manual all say it is biotinylated kininogen ANTIBODY, not simply biotinylated kininogen. For your explanation to make sense, and for the plate to be coated with primary anti-kininogen antibody, this reagent must actually be biotinylated kininogen protein, NOT anti-kininogen antibody. This would be consistent with other places in the manual, namely Reagent Preparation step 4 UNDER the title on p.7 of the manual, and Assay Method step 3 on p.8 of the manual, where it is called simply biotinylated kininogen, not antibody. Also, the "Principle of the assay" that you included in your e-mail (which seems correct) is NOT the same as the "Principle of the assay" that appears online here https://www.abcam.com/Kininogen-Human-ELISA-Kit-ab108875.html or in the Introduction of the manual. The website, the manual, and the label on the vial in the kit should be corrected to remove these discrepancies and make it clear what this reagent actually is.

I would like to thank you for noticing this and bringing it to our attention.
It appears in this case that there has been a mislabeled reagent for this kit. Our "Biotinylated Human Kininogen Antibody: 1 vial, lyophilized" should read "Biotinylated Human Kininogen 1 vial, lyophilized".
I have made to appropriate group aware of this error and hope that this will be remedied on the website, manual and kit components soon.
Thank you again. I hope that this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions or there are other ways that Abcam may help you meet your research goals.
