    Abcam’s MIP3b Human ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human MIP3b in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants.

    This assay employs an antibody specific for Human MIP3b coated on a 96- well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and MIP3b present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Human MIP3b antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MIP3b bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

    May play a role not only in inflammatory and immunological responses but also in normal lymphocyte recirculation and homing. May play an important role in trafficking of T-cells in thymus, and T-cell and B-cell migration to secondary lymphoid organs. Specifically binds to chemokine receptor CCR7. Recombinant CCL19 shows potent chemotactic activity for T-cells and B-cells but not for granulocytes and monocytes.

    Expressed at high levels in the lymph nodes, thymus and appendix. Intermediate levels seen in colon and trachea, while low levels found in spleen, small intestine, lung, kidney and stomach.
