Please see below an enquiry from a customer;
The kit specificity mentions that it recognizes both natural and recombinant human p53 Range: 3.1 U/ml - 100 U/mlSensitivity <1.5 U/ml
Will this kitl measure any p53 protein including mutant types?
Secondly it says that the kit can measure p53 in both plasma and serum.
As plasma has no cells, is the kit expects a cell lysis before p53 is measured in plasma?
Could you please advise if known?

Thank you for the inquiry passed on from the customer.
The p53 ELISA kit recognizes wild type and mutant p53.
Thep53 soluble form in plasma and serum is assayed and will be detected. Thereforeno cell lysis is required.
