Question (27805) | Human Perforin peptide (ab99163)

Go to datasheet (ab99163)

Question

Dear Tech support   Could you please go into detail regarding ab99163 sequence or the amino acid numbering of the peptide in relation to the complete gene. Do you think this product can serve as a control for the SPR - Surface Plasmon Resonance method? Is the control peptide that is part of product ab83711 available for independent order?   Thank you for your kind help. Regards,

Answer

Thank you for contacting us. The amino acid sequence of protein is "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" which is amino acid 24 to 40 of human perforin protein. The gene sequence related to this sequence can be found at the following link http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/NG_009615.1?from=5001&to=10428&report=genbank The product ab83711 and ab99163 are two independent products. Ab99163 was not used as a standard in ab83711. This was indeed used as a blocking peptide with ab64615. Ab83711 is available independently for ordering. We do not have tested ab83711 in SPR experiment. You may need to follow the manual of SPR instrument regarding the suitable material. Experimental optimizations may be needed for best results. I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.
