    • Product overview

Quinolinate phosphoribosyltransferase (QPRT) belongs to the phosphoribosyltransferase family and is involved in de novo NAD biosynthesis using quinolinate as a precursor. Quinolinate acts as a most potent endogenous exitotoxin to neurons, causing neuronal damage through sustained activation of glutamate N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors.

Human QPRT ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) Kit is designed for detection of QPRT in human plasma, serum, milk, urine, saliva, CSF, and cell culture samples. This assay employs a quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique that measures human QPRT in approximately 4 hours. A polyclonal antibody specific for human QPRT has been pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate with removable strips. QPRT in standards and samples is sandwiched by the immobilized antibody and a biotinylated polyclonal antibody specific for human QPRT, which is recognized by a streptavidin-peroxidase (SP) conjugate. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
