Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab109493 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
WB 1/1000 - 1/10000. Predicted molecular weight: 36 kDa.
IHC-P 1/1000 - 1/5000. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval via the pressure cooker method before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
  • Application notes
Is unsuitable for ICC or IP.
  • Target

    • Relevance
IgG4 antibodies will dominate the IgG response in schistosomiasis, lymphatic filariasis, and in patients after allergen immunotherapy. Unlike the other IgG subclasses, IgG4 does not activate complement. A combined IgA-IgG4 deficiency has been associated with recurrent pyogenic infections.

    Customer reviews and Q&As

    1-3 of 3 Abreviews or Q&A

I have reviewed these products and have been in touch with the labs regarding reactivity with Rhesus as requested. We would not recommend any human IgG2 antibody which we know is directed to the hinge region, such as ab1935, against Rhesus as the homology of these is poor. However with this exception, in general there seems to be good homology between Rhesus and Human IgG subtypes. More information about human and Rhesus IgGs may be found at the links below: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1782391/ http://nhpreagents.bidmc.harvard.edu/nhp/macaqueisotypes.aspx http://www.kcl.ac.uk/immunobiology/Mac_ig/ We have not tested any of these products against Rhesus. For UNTESTED applications, we have established a testing discount program. Here is a brief description of how it works: The testing discount program is for customers who like to use an antibody/protein on an untested species/application. You would purchase the antibody at full price, test it and submit an Abreview with your data (positive or negative). On your next order you will receive a discount equal to the value of the product tested. The terms and conditions of this offer can be found here: https://www.abcam.com/AbTrial We could also offer enrollment in the AbTrial program for anti-IgG4 ab109493. We do not currently have any anti-IgG3 primary antibodies.
