Applications

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab237716 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
IHC-P 1/2000. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
  • Application notes
Is unsuitable for Flow Cyt,ICC/IF,IP or WB.
  • Target

    • Function

This is the receptor for interleukin-5. The alpha chain binds to IL5.
    • Tissue specificity

      Expressed on eosinophils and basophils.
    • Sequence similarities

Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 5 subfamily.
    • Domain

The WSXWS motif appears to be necessary for proper protein folding and thereby efficient intracellular transport and cell-surface receptor binding.
The box 1 motif is required for JAK interaction and/or activation.
    • Cellular localization

      Membrane.

    Images

    • Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human tonsil  tissue labeling IL-5RA with ab237716 at 1/2000 dilution, followed by Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) ready to use. Positive staining on human tonsil is observed. Counter stained with hematoxylin.

Secondary antibody only control: Used PBS instead of primary antibody, secondary antibody is Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) ready to use.

The section was incubated with ab237716 for 15 mins at room temperature.

The immunostaining was performed on a Leica Biosystems BOND® RX instrument.

    • Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human tonsil tissue stained for IL5RA using ab237716 at 0.125 μg/ml in immunohistochemical analysis.
