Target
-
Function
Receptor for interleukin-2. This beta subunit is involved in receptor mediated endocytosis and transduces the mitogenic signals of IL2. -
Sequence similarities
Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 4 subfamily.
Contains 1 fibronectin type-III domain. -
Domain
The WSXWS motif appears to be necessary for proper protein folding and thereby efficient intracellular transport and cell-surface receptor binding.
The box 1 motif is required for JAK interaction and/or activation. -

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Anti-IL2 Receptor beta/p75 antibody [EPR24336-29] (ab271040)
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human spleen tissue labelling IL2 Receptor beta/p75 with ab271040 at 1/100 (4.78 µg/ml) dilution followed by a ready to use LeicaDS9800 (Bond™ Polymer Refine Detection). Cytoplasmic staining on scattered immune cells of human spleen is observed. The section was incubated with ab271040 for 30 mins at room temperature. The immunostaining was performed on a Leica Biosystems BOND® RX instrument. Counterstained with Hematoxylin.
Secondary antibody only control: Secondary antibody is a ready to use LeicaDS9800 (Bond™ Polymer Refine Detection).
Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0, epitope retrieval solution2) for 20 mins.
