IP Use at an assay dependent concentration. because this antibody is an IgG2a, protein G or rabbit anti mouse IgG is helpful for capture.
Flow Cyt Use at an assay dependent concentration.

Flow cytometry should be done with buffers containing 1 mM Mg, since the epitope recognized by this antibody is divalent cation dependent.

 

 

 

ab170191 - Mouse monoclonal IgG2a, is suitable for use as an isotype control with this antibody.

 

Blocking Use a concentration of 100 µg/ml. Inhibition of alpha V beta 6 mediated cell adhesion and cell migration are achieved at a concentration of 100 µg/mL using beta 6 transfected cells tested against TGF beta LAP.

    This antibody (ab78438) recognizes the alpha V beta 5 heterodimer, not alpha V beta 6. We do however offer another product which does recognize alpha V beta 6. That product number is ab77906 and may be found at this link:
