Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab275180 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
FunctionSeems to plays a role in epithelial tight junction formation. Appears early in primordial forms of cell junctions and recruits PARD3. The association of the PARD6-PARD3 complex may prevent the interaction of PARD3 with JAM1, thereby preventing tight junction assembly (By similarity). Plays a role in regulating monocyte transmigration involved in integrity of epithelial barrier. Involved in platelet activation. In case of orthoreovirus infection, serves as receptor for the virus.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily.
Contains 2 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains.
Cellular localizationCell junction > tight junction. Cell membrane. Localized at tight junctions of both epithelial and endothelial cells.

Flow cytometry overlay histogram showing (left) bEND.3 (mouse brain endothelioma cell line) positive cells and (right) negative Neuro2a (mouse neuroblastoma cell line) cells stained with ab275180 (red line). The cells were incubated in 1x PBS containing 10% normal goat serum to block non-specific protein-protein interaction followed by the antibody (ab275180) (1x 106 in 100μl at 0.2μg/ml (1/2500)) for 30 min on ice.
Isotype control antibody (black line) was Rabbit IgG (monoclonal) Alexa Fluor® 647 (ab199093) used at the same concentration and conditions as the primary antibody. Unlabelled sample (blue line) was also used as a control.
Acquisition of >5000 events were collected using a 40 mW Red laser (640nm) and 670/14 bandpass filter.
