I am very sorry for the variability that you've experienced. The chemistshave assured me thatnothing has changed for the production of this product, so we would expect it to perform comparably to previous batches. The current lot hasgreater than 99% purity, whichisthe same asall previous batches.

We do have different lots in stock, if you would be interested in trying a different one free of charge. If you would like to accept this, please send me:1) Your Abcam order or PO number
2) A description of your protocol using ab120100
3) Lot numbers of the previously vials you have used (if available)

I also apologize for the difficulty submitting an inquiry directly from the website. Most of our productsystems require an "ab" before the product code, so typing in "120100" won't be recognized, only "ab120100" will. Please let me know if this is not the source of the problem, and I'll contact our IT team to investigate it.

The water content varies between batches but the batch molecular formula appears on the vial label and also in the CoA for the batch.
Some batches are the monohydrate (CoA will state H20), some are anhydrous (CoA would not mention H20) and some are in between (CoA will state a fraction of water e.g. 0.75H20).
The three batches that we have in stock (APN11387-6-3, APN13056-1-1 and APN13058-1-1) vary in their formulation.

APN13058-1-1 – anhydrous

SL 327 (ab120082) and Kainic acid (ab120100) are both produced at >98% purity as determined by HPLC. I am checking which lots of these products have been assigned to you and then I will send the certificate of analysis for these lots.


The TTX is produced at >96% purity as determined by HPLC but we have stocks of this which is of >98% purity and I will again make sure that these stocks are being allocated to you and send the certificate of analysis.
