Target

  • Relevance

KCNC4 (Potassium voltage gated channel subfamily C member 4) belongs to the delayed rectifier class of channel proteins and is an integral membrane protein that mediates the voltage-dependent potassium ion permeability of excitable membranes. Assuming opened or closed conformations in response to the voltage difference across the membrane, the protein forms a potassium-selective channel through which potassium ions may pass in accordance with their electrochemical gradient.
  • Cellular localization

    Answer

Thank you for contacting us. As I mentioned in our conversation, and have confirmed, the immunogen sequences for these antibodies, aside from the immunogen of the mouse monoclonal ab93605 which is given on the datasheet, are not available to us as they are considered proprietary. The descriptions we do have and which you have seen are: ab66683 - Synthetic peptide derived from the N terminal domain of human KCNC4 ab79173 - Synthesized non phosphopeptide derived from Human KCNC4 around the phosphorylation site of serine 15 (R-K-SP-G-N) ab101780 - A synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of Human KCNC4 ab101781 - A synthetic peptide from C-terminal region of Mouse KCNC4 We do know that the first two differ at least in their formulations (serum vs. purified). The second two, ab101780 and ab101781, differ in the species that they are raised against. I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.
