Mix and match analytes from existing panels in our assay designer
Complex data analysis is made simple with free-of-charge integrated FirePlex Analysis Workbench software, which automatically interprets results and generates publication-ready figures. Samples can be analyzed on your own flow cytometer or sent for analysis in our service lab. If you leave the work to us, our full-service team of experts will analyze your samples from start to finish.
FirePlex immunoassays can be conveniently run on your existing flow cytometer, eliminating the need to purchase dedicated equipment. FirePlex particles are validated for use with flow cytometers fitted with green, yellow, and red detectors. The following excitation and emission settings are required:
Our Cytometer Setup kit (ab245835) can be used to ensure a cytometer is compatible and determine the appropriate settings without having to use precious samples. The cytometer set up kit contains FirePlex particles that are run on the cytometer to establish configuration settings and ascertain which run buffer is most suitable in our software.
To ensure optimal performance of the FirePlex Immunoassay, we recommend that the instrument used has the sample loader fitted.
Various cytometers can be compatible with our FirePlex particle technology, including:

Pre-designed FirePlex-96 panels are ideal for biomarker discovery projects as well as validation studies.
Human analytes and panels
Comprehensively profile up to 70 biomarker candidates simultaneously, directly from human plasma (EDTA, heparin, citrate), serum, urine, saliva, milk (defatted), synovial fluid, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), or cell culture supernatant. FirePlex human immunoassays give you the flexibility, speed, and high-performance to take biomarker studies from the bench to the bedside.

Design your ideal immunoassay panel using Mix and Match assay designer
You can mix and match analytes from existing panels in our assay designer. Choose from human or mouse and select up to 35 analytes to build your perfect panel.
Pick your perfect cytokine immunoassay panel from our ever-expanding list of antibody pairs
When you need to quantify a specific set of cytokines, the choices for selecting a multiplex panel are often inflexible or inconvenient. Abcam’s FirePlex multiplex immunoassays use our unique FirePlex® particle technology to enable fully customizable panels for cytokine analysis. You can select the exact analytes for your panel, all your analytes are analyzed in one well, without the need to split your sample across multiple wells or panels.
Send us your samples and take advantage of our fully flexible panels through our cytokine profiling service; or run the assay and analysis in your lab.
Designed and tested with multiplexing in mind
In addition to using the unique properties of FirePlex® particles to support fully flexible multiplex panels, our FirePlex assays are also carefully tested for analyte multiplex interference and assay compatibility. This means that almost all our tested assays can be assembled into multiplex panels freely and without restriction.
