Ideal for discovery, screening, and profiling projects, high-throughput FirePlex immunoassays offer a fast, easy, and cost-effective tool to analyze thousands of samples in half the time. Reach R&D goals faster by harvesting more insightful data with FirePlex-384 and FirePlex-1536 immunoassays.
Find out more about the benefits of choosing FirePlex immunoassays from Dr Paul Wylie.
FirePlex immunoassays use the FirePlex particle technology and validated antibody pairs to deliver rapid, robust, and sensitive high-throughput multiplex screening without the need for dedicated instrumentation. Using a high content imager, you can analyze up to:
Figure 1. The assay workflow. To capture analytes onto FirePlex particles, biological samples are added to a 384-well imaging plate and incubated with the FirePlex-384 Reagent Mix overnight. Subsequently, an Imaging Dye is added, and plates are scanned on high-content imagers. The FirePlex Analysis Workbench software generates standard curves and quantifies analytes of interest directly from image files.

High-throughput FirePlex immunoassays can be applied at all stages of drug development to inform critical decision points:
By providing a new, more effective biomarker analysis workflow (Figure1), FirePlex immunoassays enable data-driven R&D to guide the most effective strategies and minimize the risk of late-stage failures.
Our FirePlex immunoassays offer high reproducibility and sensitivity, so you can achieve high throughput without sacrificing assay performance or data quality.
FirePlex-384 and FirePlex-1536 assays are compatible with high content imagers from various prominent manufacturers, including Molecular Devices, Perkin Elmer, GE, Yokogawa, Agilent, and Thermo. Check the required characteristics in Figure 2 below.
Figure 2. A. Varying intensities of green and yellow fluorescent dyes are used for particle identity barcoding; yellow dye, which is co-locally separate on the particle from the barcoding region, is used for analyte quantitation. The FirePlex-384 assays are available in three different formats: Standard, Mix and Match, and Full Custom panels. The FirePlex-1536 assays exist in two formats: Mix and Match panels and Full custom panels.
These ready-to-use, pre-designed FirePlex-384 assay kits are comprehensively validated and contain all reagents needed to perform a 384-well assay.

These panels are designed and tested with multiplexing in mind. In addition to using the unique properties of FirePlex particles to support fully flexible multiplex panels, FirePlex assays are also carefully tested for analyte multiplex interference and assay compatibility. This means that almost all our tested assays can be assembled into multiplex panels freely and without restriction.
Select analytes of interest from existing panels with Mix and Match assay designer to build the assay that best meets your needs:
When you need to quantify a specific set of cytokines, the choices for selecting a multiplex panel are often inflexible or inconvenient. Unique FirePlex particle technology enables us to build fully customizable panels for cytokine analysis.
