Inquiry: Dear Sir/Madam In our lab we work a lot on kinesins, and axonal transport, and we have been looking for a good quality anitbody for kinesin light chain. We have tested out a number of antibodies but none are specific enough to meet our needs. We have found the KLC1 antibody ab95882 on your website, which looks more promising. However the antibody ab95882 has only been tested in human cell lines, and we are looking for an antibody that works for rat kinesin. Your customer service team have informed us that as we are testing the antibody in a new species we are entitled to a discount if we order the antibody. Please could you let us know if this is valid, and how we should proceed with the order? Thank you for your help in advance,

Thank you for contacting us and for your interest in our products.
As far as we are aware, ab95882 has never been tested with samples from human.
All tested species covered by the 6 month guarantee are stated on our datasheets, and these are updated as soon as any new information is brought to our attention.
I have checked the alignment of the immunogen for ab95882 with the rat KCL1 protein, and regrettably this has a low alignment of 54%. Therefore, I am sorry to confirm we would not predict that this antibody would detect in rat. We are therefore unfortunately not able to offer our testing AbTrial discount program in this case.
I am sorry we unfortunately do not have a suitably tested KCL1 protein to suggest on this occasion.
I hope this information is helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any further advice or information.
