Example midrange positive control data. The linear range for this positive control occurs between 5 and 18 minutes. Prior to five minutes, the reaction is coming to temperature and is experiencing a lag as the enzyme ramps up, after 18 minutes the substrate is becoming depleted and activity is slowing. Choosing a time interval within the linear range for each sample is critical to accurately quantify adenylate cyclase activity.

The Adenylate Cyclase Activity assay kit is a simple, sensitive kit that measures the conversion of ATP to cAMP and pyrophosphate using a propriety enzymatic detection mix and a chromogenic probe to generate a stable chromophore that can be quantified by absorbance.

In the first step of this enzymatic assay, Adenylyl Cyclase (Adenylate Cyclase) converts ATP into cAMP, releasing inorganic pyrophosphate (PPi). The PPi released is detected via a series of enzymatic reactions which utilize a propriety enzyme mix and a chromogenic probe, generating a stable chromophore that can be quantified by absorbance at 570 nm.

First functional test on catalogue, others are ELISA based and either only measure cAMP levels or AC protein concentration.
