Alpha 1 adrenergic receptor also known as ADRA1 is a G protein-coupled receptor with a mass of approximately 63 kDa. This receptor binds adrenergic agonists and plays a significant role in the sympathetic nervous system. The receptor is widely expressed in various tissues especially in the vascular smooth muscles liver and heart. Cytochrome P450 3A4 or CYP3A4 is one of the most important enzymes in the liver responsible for drug metabolism with a molecular weight of about 57 kDa. TDP1 a DNA repair enzyme is associated with the repair of single-stranded breaks and shows a lesser-known presence in the cell nucleus. Geminin functions in the regulation of DNA replication and exists in the nucleus whereas RAD54 involves with homologous recombination during DNA double-strand break repair localized primarily in the nucleus. DNA Polymerase Kappa also known as POLK participates in the bypass of DNA lesions during DNA replication and predominantly resides in the nucleus. Finally ROR gamma an important nuclear receptor modulates transcriptional activities and appears highly in immune cells and organs like the thymus.
