User storage instructions: Lyophilizate may be stored at 4°C. After reconstitution, store at -20°C for short-term storage or -80°C for long-term storage.

Biological function summary
ZAK initiates and participates in the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling cascade which is integral to cell growth differentiation and apoptosis. ZAK forms part of a signaling complex that transmits signals from the membrane to the cytoplasm. Its activation leads to phosphorylation of other kinases therefore propagating the signal within the cell. Through its role in these signaling pathways ZAK influences cellular processes that maintain homeostasis in response to changing environments.
Pathways
The protein ZAK is deeply involved in the stress-activated protein kinase (SAPK) and JUN amino-terminal kinases (JNK) pathways. These pathways play significant roles in the cell's response to stress signals such as cytokines and environmental stressors. ZAK interacts with and phosphorylates other MAP kinase family members further integrating it into these pathways. Through such interactions ZAK affects related proteins like JNK1 and JNK2 which are essential in mediating stress responses at a cellular level.
