Human HSPG ELISA kit (ab274393) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Human HSPG protein in human serum and plasma. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human HSPG with 47.215 pg/mL sensitivity.

SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. HSPG2 functions as an integral component of basement membranes. In the glomerular basement membrane, it provides a barrier that is both size- and charge-selective. HSPG2 serves as an attachment substrate for cells and plays essential roles in vascularization. It is critical for normal heart development and for regulating the vascular response to injury. HSPG2 in an anti-angiogenic and anti-tumor peptide that inhibits blood vessel growth in the chorioallantoic membrane. It blocks endothelial cell adhesion to fibronectin and type I collagen. Interaction with its ligand, integrin alpha2/beta1, is required for the anti-angiogenic properties.
