Interpolated concentrations of CRP in rhesus macaque cerebrospinal fluid.

Interpolated concentration of native CRP was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are 3.13% rhesus macaque cerebrospinal fluid. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD n=2). Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent NS.

Interpolated concentrations of native CRP in monkey serum and plasma samples.

The concentrations of CRP were measured in duplicates interpolated from the CRP standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 1 : 500 plasma (citrate) 1 : 500 plasma (EDTA) 1 : 2000 and plasma (heparin) 1 : 500. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD n=2). The mean CRP concentration was determined to be 824.7 ng/mL in serum 743.0 ng/mL in plasma (citrate) and 2689.5 ng/mL in plasma (EDTA) and 826.5 ng/mL in plasma (heparin).

How the assay works

Monkey CRP (C-Reactive Protein) ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent (ab327316) SimpleStep Ignite™ ELISA employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step during a 30 min only incubation, significantly reducing assay time. By utilizing a chemiluminscent detection method this improves the sensitivity and dynamic range when compared to traditional colorimetric ELISAs.

Monkey CRP (C-Reactive Protein) (ab327316) protocol summary

1. Mix : add samples / standards to the wells together with the capture and detector antibody cocktail. Incubate 30 min at room temperature
2. Wash
3. Add ChemiHRP development solution - incubate for 2 min
4. Read the results on a plate reader capable of luminescence detection
